A pretty solid week of The Bachelorette. A few duds got sent home and on the other end of the spectrum, a few L words were floated around.

First off we have to talk about Ben. He’s been a front runner all season long and this week has to launch him into the final two. He really opened up to Tayshia, revealing that he attempted to kill himself on two separate occasions and that he probably wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for his sister. I really hope that Ben was watching this episode with her so that they were together when she found out just how much she actually did save him. On top of all that we got a little snippet of Tayshia saying she was truly in love with Ben.

Next up we’ve got the lie detector date, specifically Zac on the lie detector date. We’ve been teased all week long about Zac admitting to cheating in the past and were teased about all the drama surrounding it. Well turns out Zac french kissed a girl at a bowl-a-rama in grade six… Yeah not nearly as bad as we were led to believe. Zac and Tayshia also both say they are falling in love with each other and I think we have out final two in place.

Third and fourth on this week’s list is Bennett. He gets sent home on the 2 on 1 and then at the end of the episode comes back. Feels like this is becoming a Bachelor tradition. You know I’m just completely over Bennett. He was cute at the start of the season but his gimmicks quit working on me. He’s been acting high and mighty all season long when really he was the ringleader behind almost all the drama this season. I am over it.

Fifth on this weeks list is that absolute dud of a cocktail party. How did we get this deep into the season and wind up sending home three guys that weren’t even a remote factor for either Bachelorette. Like we are just a few weeks from the end of the show, Demar, Ed and Spencer get sent home after not having any meaningful time with Tayshia for weeks. This is one rose ceremony before Tayshia decides on who goes to hometowns. Oh well, now we can focus on Ben and Zac even more.

Two one on one’s, one two on one, let’s get into 5 things from this week of The Bachelorette.

First up let’s get to the drama, Noah vs Bennett. Bennett has very quickly turned himself from hero to villain this season. His constant condescension and general pompous attitude has landed him on a two on one date alongside Noah. To make the situation even worse, Bennett brings Noah a gift, including a book about emotional intelligence… I’m sensing a Taylor and Bennett connection on paradise!

Second we’ve got Ben pulling his dick out and making Tayshia cry. Not the reaction I look for whenever I pull my dick out but hey it kind of worked for Ben as he winds up getting the group rose.

Third we’ve got the Eazy one on one date. Tayshia constantly running away from Eazy was foreshadowing for what was to come. Him throwing the hail Mary “I’m falling for you” did not go well as we see Eazy head out the door.

Fourth we’ve got a date that actually went well, Zac and all his sneakers. This is probably the best one on one we’ve seen this season. They had a fun wedding photo shoot, where I’m pretty sure Zac had new sneakers for every outfit. And on top of that we still got an intimate evening together that was capped off with a ferris wheel ride. Zac delved into his rocky past and Tayshia is really into him right now, he’s destined for final four.

Lastly I just want to say that I appreciated the improvement in date quality this week. We’ve had some low budget dates this season and finally there was a week that I didn’t spend at least part of the episode complaining about a game of splash ball or something. Please keep making these dates better!

Our bizarre season of The Bachelorette plows forward this week. Tayshia sends four men home and sets up some drama for next week.

I gotta point out once again how bad these dates are this season. We saw a floor is lava date and a truth or dare date. Can’t we get a few people on production to put together something nice for a change? I don’t want to see people playing children’s games anymore.

Winners this week were Ivan. Zac and Ben. I’d say all three took big steps forward while most of our other men remained stagnant or took steps back. I feel like those three are emerging as the front runners and really stand apart from the majority of the pack.

Guys like Brendan and Spencer are fading back a little bit after having a good showing earlier. Not sure where they stand but with how little screen time they saw this week, especially Spencer, I don’t like their chances.

Drama is brewing for next week Between Noah and Bennett. Looks like they will be heading on a 2 on 1 date and I won’t be surprised if both get sent packing.

As we all slowly erase Clare from our memories, it’s time to dive into the second week of Tayshia’s reign as the Bachelorette.

We got two group date and a rose ceremony tonight. There was some drama brewing between Ed and Chasen all night that is likely to bleed further into the season.

Let’s start out with the first group date where we tried to determine who was the most grown ass man. Not sure who designed this test but it felt pretty flawed to me, apparently in The Bachelorette, requirements to be a grown ass man include: Answering basic spelling and math questions, winning a tug of war and finally being able to cook breakfast. Have any of you ever put a date through a math quiz to determine if they would be a good partner? Yeah I didn’t think so. Bennett is the star of the first half of this date after failing horribly at math and spelling, completely skipping the tug of war and then cooking an amazing breakfast for Tayshia. So I guess totally failing at 2/3 tasks makes you a grown ass man.

At the cocktail party Ben and Ivan stood out to me as the ones getting closest with Tayshia. Really the rest of the guys were almost absent from this part of the date outside of Ed and Chasen starting up their feud. Highlights of the feud included Ed saying “He called my legs chicken legs” and Chasen saying “it’s actually a large bro” both were equally amazing moments.

Onto the rose ceremony! Three guys get sent home, Montell, Peter and Jay. I’m not even sure if Peter and Montell got any screen time this entire season. They won’t be missed.

So now we start up a new week and head out on a group date. This was a terrible date where the producers decided it would be a great idea to have the men full on wrestling with each other. Yes great idea let’s put all the men in direct combat with each other, especially the ones that already are fighting with each other. When it came time for Ed and Chasen to wrestle, I was a little angry. What a pathetic decision by the Bachelorette producers to put Ed in that position. “Oh hey Ed, remember that guy that was threatening you and in your face last night? Well we decided to let him beat the crap out of you.” I was very happy when Ed bowed out because no way he should have been forced into the situation.

After Ed drops out, Chris Harrison asks if anyone is willing to take his place and Noah happily hops the fence to join in on the action. After a spirited battle, where Chasen was way too aggressive once again, Noah gets asked to join the rest of the date so obviously he says yes. Then at the cocktail party, Tayshia asks Noah to shave his mustache and he once again says yes. All this leads to Tayshia finally asking Noah if he’d accept the group date rose and once again he says yes. That’s a pretty sweet ride towards getting a rose right there.

That’s it for this week. Looks like we will be getting a few more dates and a rose ceremony next week and also might see Tayshia put her foot down on any drama going on in the house.

Who is ready for Tayshia? What a contrast from Clare, these two women feel like polar opposites. I loved Tayshia’s Energy tonight and can’t wait to watch her journey.

We opened up on Tayshia’s first night and got to watch her getting to know the guys. This definitely had a different feel to typical first nights as we didn’t get to see a long parade of introductions and instead jumped straight to conversations. Honestly I kind of liked it. Most of the normal introductions are a bit too cheesy for my tastes.

Tayshia did get to meet four new guys. The new guys were the stache, the disney prince, budget eazy and then some guy I don’t remember. The two that stood out the most to me were Noah aka the stache and Spencer aka the disney prince. I really enjoyed it when Spencer asked all the old guys who chased Clare off. Tayshia also liked Spencer as he ends up being the one to get the first impression rose.

Others who stood out night one were Ivan and Zac. I really thought Ivan was going to get the first rose and he’s definitely a front runner in my opinion.

Next up we go back to Clare and Dale for an interview rehashing everything we already knew about Clare and Dale. Okay back to more Tayshia.

Time for some dates! We start off with a group date and this group date felt very similar to other La Quinta group dates where it felt very cheap and that production was just winging it. Today’s date saw 10 guys playing splash ball. Yup 10 dudes in a pool playing basketball and pretending that’s a great date idea. It was pretty bad. Thankfully from here all 10 guys ended up getting some extra time with Tayshia. A few guys stood out on the date, Eazy, Spencer and Zac. Eazy gets the date rose, while Zac really started to build a great connection with Tayshia. We also got a bit of drama on the date when a few of the guys called out Spencer for his behavior so far. The guys feel like he’s a bit of a dick, all based on his initial comment about scaring off Clare. I don’t think this is going to go very far but hey we need a bit of drama right?

After the date we find out that Jason has decided to head home. He still has lingering feelings for Clare and doesn’t think he can get over them to give his all for Tayshia. I think this was a good decision and feel that Blake probably needs to do the same.

We end the night with Tayshia’s first one on one date of the season. Her and Brendan went on a very awkward horse ride around the resort, with Chris Harrison awkwardly interrupting at various points. From there we saw them make out in a pool for a while before heading to dinner. I really felt like these two started to form a very deep connection and Brendan has to immediately be a front runner for the season. I know we haven’t seen him much in the previews but hard to deny what we saw on their date.

That’s it for week 5 aka Tayshia’s first week. I’m very excited to watch her journey unfold!

Tonight on the Bachelorette DALE. And then later, MORE DALE.

I think we all have a pretty good idea of what’s going down on The Bachelorette this season. Clare has her eyes on one man and one man only. The further we get in the more it becomes clear that Clare and Dale are leaving together. And it all might happens sooner rather than later.

We opened the night with Yosef absolutely embarrassing and disgracing himself on national TV. Good job bud. Way to make your family and daughter proud of you. You know what would have been less disgraceful than what you just did? Playing strip dodge ball. Glad to see Yosef walk out the door, good riddance.

Next up we plunge head first into the Dale show. Even though we are heading on a group date, the focus is solely on one person. Dale pulls Clare early and they spend the first hour of the group date making out. Most of the other guys aren’t too pleased by this and are getting a bit pissed at Dale. As other guys start to get some time, the tension of the group date settles slightly until Dale “accidentally” walks in on Clare and Jay talking, Clare insists that she “talk” with Dale a bit more and soon they are making out once again. Chasen goes to interrupt a few minutes later and Dale has to do an awkward walk out of the room to hid his boner. Classic Dale! Needless to say Dale gets the group date rose to kick off our week of Dale!

Next up we have a one on one date with Zach J and Clare. The date does not go well and it takes about 10 seconds before Clare is wishing she was with Dale. Things get even worse after a botched kiss between the two and Zach starts agressively grabbing her neck to try and pull her back in for a redo. I really did not enjoy watching this whole sequence with Zach trying to force a kiss from Clare. Thankfully Clare puts an end to the date and sends Zach home.

Next up we have the second group date that goes 100% focused on Dale. What starts off as a light hearted roast, turns into everyone attempting to bash Dale. The guys thought it was funny but Clare most certainly did not appreciate it. From there the night does not go well for the guys as Clare wants them all to explain why they were bashing Dale and none of them can come up with any real answers for her. The jealous boys end up seeing Clare walk away, rose in hand soon after.

It looks like next week will be the big break down of the season. No dates were teased in the teaser and we caught our first glimpse of the next Bachelorette, Tayshia Adams. Expect fireworks in the near future.

Well we’re now done week two and so far it’s remaining a pretty normal season. Yes things are accelerated between Dale and Clare but otherwise still a pretty normal week.

Ok Bachelor Nation, time for our first dates of the season. We opened with a group date and things were a bit weird. The first half of the date felt like they were going from random room to random room in the resort trying to make things as awkward as possible. The show is absolutely going to have to step it up if this is the standard we can expect for dates this season. Once we got to the second half of the date, things began to normalize. We got to see lots of one on one time and it felt more like a normal season. We did have the awkward start where no one wanted to grab Clare but from there we actually got to see some solid usage of time. Riley got the rose but the real winner of the date was Dale. Anyone notice that voice change when Clare started talking to him?

Alright onto the first one on one date of the season, shockingly it didn’t go to Dale. Clare chose the other football player Jason for this date. Overall the date went pretty well but I do have some concerns. Jason doesn’t seem ready to fully open up yet, he’d probably need another one on one or more before hitting that point. And also Jason did not seem to be reading Clare’s body language at all. Clare seemed fully invested in Jason but it didn’t seem like he was able to reciprocate those feelings. He still got the rose but even if we didn’t know the outcome of the season, I don’t like his chances in the long run.

The second group date saw 10 dudes playing strip dodge ball and ended up with four of them buck naked at the end. Yup. Moving on to the second half of the date we had three important events. Brandon getting sent home after not being able to tell Clare why he wanted to be on her season. Chasen swooping in to steal the rose. And finally Blake Moynes sneaking back into the date for some Clare time (which later on got him a rose).

We end the night at the cocktail party and might be headed for some more Yosef drama.

We are setting up for a wild season of The Bachelorette. Clare is possibly about to embark on the shortest season in Bachelorette history.

This whole episode just had a weird vibe. The quarantine to kick things off was obviously weird. And then it really felt like we narrowed in on a few storylines right out of the gate. When it came to the rose ceremony I only knew who a few people were and I think we were being set up for a fast forward through Clare’s season. I don’t know how everything is going to play out but I’m ready for the journey.

That teaser at the end of the episode was wild. Normally we have one moment in a season that generates that level of hype and usually it’s quite deep into the season. Clare is kicking off this season hard and I’m ready for things to spiral out of control ASAP.

There were a few guys of note tonight Dale, Jason, Blake Moynes, Yosef and Eazy. That’s a pretty short list after night one. Dale easily got the most screen time, got the first impression rose and Clare immediately said she thought she just met her husband after meeting him. I think it’s safe to say he will be a focal point this season. Jason is another guy of note, we’ve seen previews of him and Clare together and it seemed like they had a solid connection tonight. Blake Moynes apparently was the only guy to reach out and contact Clare (not buying that for a minute), he also got the first kiss of the season and on a normal seaosn i think he’d be an early favorite. Yosef was the center of the drama tonight and somehow got a rose even though he blatantly lied to Clare. Lastly we have Eazy, who didn’t get much time with Clare but seems like he could be the villain of the season.

An interesting night one and looks like we are set up for a wild season. Can’t be worse than Peter!
